description
The University of Exeter wishes to commission consultants for work in two lots:
| Lot 1: | Evaluation of best practice internationally in relation to the flexible delivery of high quality postgraduate taught provision. |
| Lot 2: | An assessment of the capacity and readiness of the University of Exeter to deliver flexible PGT provision. |
Overview of lots:
Lot 1: Evaluation of best practice internationally in relation to the flexible delivery of high quality postgraduate taught provision.
The purpose of this lot is to provide a report that increases the University’s understanding of the nature of provision from its competitors, and to obtain an expert review of the most effective flexible provision those institutions may be offering. The University’s comparator group for this research is the 24 universities that are members of the Russell Group in the UK and the World Top 200 universities in the THE World University Rankings.
Lot 2: An assessment of the capacity and readiness of the University of Exeter to deliver flexible PGT provision.
This lot will provide a report that will inform future decisions on whether to offer more flexible PGT provision, and if the University wishes to develop and deliver flexible provision, what would be required in order to be able to do so successfully. The University wishes to price its provision within the top decile in the UK, so will need to ensure it has the capacity and capability to deliver a high quality offering, commensurate with the price. There are a number of dimensions of institutional capacity and readiness, listed below, that should be investigated. The Consultant should identify their proposed methodology in their tender, but it is anticipated that in addition to desk research the Consultant will wish to interview key personnel in academic disciplines and priority professional services to inform their recommendations.
