description

Reviewing the benefits of agri-environment schemes for farmland biodiversity and predicting the extent of agri-environment provision needed to reverse population declines of farmland birds in England

The work consists of two modules:

Module 1 is concerned with undertaking a quantitative review of the studies based in North West Europe that have investigated the benefits (or otherwise) of AES provision to farmland biodiversity. Module 2 will attempt to predict the extent of AES provision needed to reverse population declines of farmland birds in England.

The work will be procured within the Environmental Stewardship Monitoring and Evaluation Framework 24931 Lot 7 (relating to birds). The procurement objective is therefore to place the mini-tender on Bravo before the end of May 2018 (when the framework runs out).
