description
The RN portfolio requires the development of the Business Architecture for the Portfolio, mapping the end-to-end capability from Detection through to Final Disposition for the current system and how it should look at points in the future. These architectural views will serve as a blueprint, against which the various programme teams will deliver. These teams have already been recruited and are primarily civil servant-based. The 'business as usual' capabilities, including product management, have been established within the Home Office.
To date, a draft end-to-end system view has been produced and this will provide some foundation to the initial stages of work required under this procurement. The supplier will also be granted access to all necessary documentation to support the requirement which will include the business case.
The consultant(s) is expected to develop and deliver a report detailing the end-to-end capability of the current business architecture. It is intended for this to be delivered in three 'sprints' (Milestones) as detailed below.
| - | An 'As-Is' assessment - how the system looks today, before change initiatives have been delivered, identifying gaps and areas of improvement required. To date, a draft end-to-end system view has been produced and this will provide a foundation for the as-is assessment alongside further explorative work. |
| - | A 2-year view - how the system will look on completion of the portfolio initiatives currently funded under the RNSP. The view should demonstrate how improvements in the system have been delivered and how they can be measured and evidenced. |
| - | A 10-year view - a report which details the long-term ambition to deliver an across public services integrated network of systems delivering enhanced Nuclear Security, identifying the changes required within each area. |
