L&Q (on behalf of Chobham Manor LLP) is looking for a suitable voluntary, community or social enterprise (VSCE) organisation to develop our community facility at Chobham Manor (located close to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E20).
The success VCSE must provide a high quality community facility providing a hub for local residents and the wider community with a range of social, economic, recreational and learning opportunities whilst promoting equality, diversity and community cohesion.
The aims and objectives of the Chobham Manor Community Facility will be to:
- provide a high quality and attractive environment to encourage community participation
- promote partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders to maximise opportunities for programme and project development.
- widen access and encourage greater involvement in learning, sports, cultural and other community activities, for a diverse community.
- meeting the needs and aspirations of the Chobham Manor community through developing a range of initiatives and services to meet the social and economic needs of local residents.
- create opportunities for physical and mental health improvements in the local community bringing together sporting activities and health projects
- provide facilities for small conferences, seminars and meetings to cross subsidise community events
- develop commercial opportunities which financially will support community activities.
- develop a governance structure that will support long-term sustainability
- develop a financial plan that will deliver self-sufficiency and stability
L&Q intend to invite proposals from suitable organisations and would welcome initial expressions of interest from providers who would like to be considered for the project.
