description

Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AFRS) provides emergency and protection services to the communities of Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Avon Fire & Rescue Service has recently taken a Combined Aerial Rescue Platform appliance (CARP) out of service due to changes in operational requirements and Avon Fire Authority is wishing to seek tender responses for the conversion of the existing appliance into a Hazmat Unit to meet the requirements of the Service.

The conversion of the current appliance will entail the decommissioning of the aerial unit, firefighting equipment including all engineering works, electrical components and wiring, designing and building new bodywork and fitting it to the original base unit.

The Authority requires that this project is undertaken and completed in the shortest time scale possible, due to operational cover requirements.

Additional information: Documents are available to download from Bluelight and all responses must be submitted through Bluelight.
