FINANCIAL AUDIT SERVICES

Sandwell Children's Trust (the "Trust") is a company limited by guarantee with a Board of ten Directors. Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) is the sole member. Sandwell Children's Trust was set up on 1 April 2018 following statutory direction of the Secretary of State to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families in Sandwell. This is for a period of up to ten years with a review after five years. The Trust is a distinct legal entity which has operational independence. Sandwell Children's Trust is mainly funded by Sandwell MBC. A high standard of service will be expected, and contractors will need to be able to demonstrate the ability and willingness to deliver the Services in the manner required by the Trust.

The external audit and services required as a minimum, in accordance with professional standards of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. They include planning, management and execution of the independent annual audit of the Sandwell Children's Trusts' Financial Statement and Trustee's report.

The maximum available budget per annum is £30,000 (exclusive of VAT) - for the term of the Contract. However, the Trust does not guarantee any level or amount of work pursuant to the Contract.
