description

Birmingham City Council (BCC) in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) are looking for a training provider to deliver a Retail Selling and Customer Service training programmme for unemployed Birmingham residents aged 17+ to develop and prepare individuals for working in a retail and customer care enviroment.

This initiative is in response to the retail sector identifying the need to identify potential employees having some knowledge of the industry to ensure sustainabilty in this sector.

The successful supplier will facilitate 190 participants in attending awareness training of the retail and customer service industry to include understanding of working in a retail environment and the delivery of pre-employment support. Birmingham City Council, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (Birmingham and Solihull District), invites providers to make an application to be considered to provide and facilitate the Retail and Customer Care training programme.

The contract has a maximum budget of £95,000 to deliver training to 190 candidates.
