GB-London: The Delivery of Investigative and Covert Training Courses

The Delivery of Investigative and Covert Training CoursesCCG have recently been involved in a major recruitment campaign. As part of the recruitment exercise a number of trainee investigators have been employed. The new investigators have undertaken a complex training programme as part of their induction into the group. There are other training needs that have been identified that will assist with the individual development plans for each of the new recruits over the coming years.

The training programme required for the future includes the continued development of newly recruited investigators. A critical area for development is for staff to receive training in techniques used in interviewing suspects and witnesses in serious and complex civil and criminal cases. This would include statement taking.

There are members of the group trained in the use of covert tactics an area where it is necessary for individuals to receive on-going refresher training enabling them to conform to national best practice and to keep up to date with changes in current legislation. The group is planning on expanding its covert team, whilst continuing the professional development of those already trained in covert tactics.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
