GB-London: Northern Futures - Travel Trade Events

In November 2014, a fund of £10m was announced for investment in Tourism for the North of England, with the intention of promoting the North of England overseas. The fund was called ‘Northern Futures’. As part of the Northern Futures project, VisitEngland is seeking to procure a supplier to deliver two travel trade events to be held in the North of England during Autumn/Winter 2015.

The events will host leading UK based receptive tour operators, ground handlers and others so that can meet representatives from Northern destinations and their suppliers. The events will be the largest collection of Northern destinations, accommodations, attractions, ground transport and experiences of a trade event to date and will aim to bring new product, northern itineraries and resources for consideration by the invited buyers.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
