PIN - Bus Rapid Transit Operator - Market Sounding Exercise

Transport for West Midlands (Part of the WMCA) is seeking to engage with operators on the development and delivery of Bus Rapid Transit operations as part of an integrated transport system. Through this market sounding exercise, we are seeking interest and propositions from those that can offer Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) experience. We would expect to meet and engage with interested parties throughout May 2018. Whilst this is not a formal procurement exercise, it will inform Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) about the level of interest in Sprint and assist us in establishing a procurement plan for operators later in 2018. Please note that this is not an evaluated procurement exercise. The purpose of this Market Sounding Exercise is to have early engagement with suppliers in order to assist in shaping a wider tender process that is expected for release later this year. A decision not to participate in this exercise will not preclude you from taking part in the wider tender opportunity.

TfWM are seeking to engage with operators who can offer or partner with BRT experience, and help the West Midlands realise the vision of Sprint as part of an integrated Transport system. This market sounding activity invites interested operators to proposition their ideas of how they could support the development and delivery of Sprint, ahead of a formal procurement exercise of identifying and securing a Sprint delivery partner.
