Acivico Building Consultancy Ltd on behalf of Birmingham City Council (the Council) invites tenders for the demolition of 49 -59 Beach Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, B11 4PG
The works comprise of the demolition, general site clearance and removal of asbestos containing materials. The site must be well secured by use of appropriate fencing during and at the end of the contract.
The contract will be for a duration of 10 weeks commencing 16 January 2023.
The contract will be awarded to a single supplier.
The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. You will then be sent details on how to log on which will enable you to download all relevant tender documentation.

Requests to participate must be by way of completion and return of the tender documentation no later than 12 noon on Friday 28 October 2022 using the Supplier Portal.
Site Visits:
It is recommended that potential suppliers may wish to undertake a site visit to ascertain the existing conditions that could affect the demolition process and make sure that their tender price is sufficient to carry out the project safely. It is however a recommendation not a condition of the tender, therefore and if a potential supplier wishes to visit the site then they should read the following information and act on it accordingly.
Open day has been assigned to view the site and buildings which will take place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 between 10:00 am and 12:30 noon.
Contractors who wish to view the site must register their intentions by the correspondence function on the Council's Intend Portal by 4pm - Monday 10 October 2022.
A time slot will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis and the potential supplier's representatives must not arrive before their pre-selected time allocation.
THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO INTERNALLY INSPECT THE SITE.
A maximum of three persons per potential supplier will be allowed to enter the building and must adhere to all government guidelines including social distancing and the current Site Operating Procedures. The maximum time allocated is 30 minutes inside the building. The potential supplier's representatives will be required to sign in and provide contact details (mobile numbers) whilst on site. No hand wash facilities are on site and each person must bring their own hand sanitiser.
