Medical Assessments For Clients In Housing Need - (ASC-2021-008)

The London Borough of Brent is seeking suitably qualified and experienced medical organisations to tender for a contract for the provision of medical assessments for clients in housing need.

The Service is required in order to seek recommendations from medical professionals, who are not involved in the initial assessment of housing applications. This enables the Council to have a better understanding of the nature of a housing applicant's medical condition and how this medical condition affects their current housing circumstances. Additionally, it assists in determining the type of housing that households need.

The Service also includes a requirement to provide recommendations for housing application reviews on medical grounds.

It is anticipated that the contract will commence in 1st February 2021 or earlier for an initial 2 year period with the option to extend for up to 2 years.

The Services to which the Procurement relate fall within the "Light Touch Regime" (LTR) governing procurement of Health, Social, Education and Other Service Contracts. None of the references to "Open procedure", "ITT", the use of the term "tender process", or any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Authority intends to hold itself bound to any of the Regulations, save those applicable to LTR provisions.
