Lake VIctoria Marine Transport Services Procurement of Commercial Services Provider

InfraCo Africa is seeking an experienced firm to provide commercial services to the Lake Victoria Marine Transport Project. The commercial services provider (CSP) will provide commercial management and logistics services to the project company, which will own and operate mixed freight Ro/Ro vessels. The commercial services to be provided include: sourcing, managing and interfacing with customers, coordinating on-shore transport logistics, port operation coordination, preparing cargo manifests and other related documents, andproviding technical advice and support during the development and construction phases of the Project.

The CSP will have experience in commercial operations of marine transport assets in emerging / frontiermarkets. Contract terms will be the subject of the competitive dialogue.

Additional information: Short-listed candidates invited to participate in dialogue following shortlisting will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement before receiving any further information. Once the preferred bidder is selected, a formal Letter of Commitment (“LOC”) will be signed between the Project Company and the selected CSP. The LOC must be supported by a Bid Bond of US$250,000 (or such other amount to be agreed) valid until the execution of the Contract.
