The NHS Commissioning Board, known as NHS England, London Region (the Contracting Authority) is seeking to identify a suitable provider of Breast Screening Services to undertake a contract in London within central and east London.
This Tender process is being managed by North East London Commissioning Support Unit (NEL CSU) on behalf of NHS England (the “Contracting Authority”) in connection with a competitive procurement exercise that is being conducted in accordance with a process based on the Open Procedure under the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (“the Regulations” (as amended)). The services to which This Procurement relates fall within the “Light Touch Regime” (LTR) governing procurement of Health, Social, Education and Other service contracts. Neither the reference to “Open Procedure”, “ITT”, “PQQ”, the use of the term “Tender process” nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Contracting Authority intends to hold itself bound to any of the Regulations, save those applicable to LTR provisions.
The service area to be commissioned includes all boroughs located within the Central and East London geography. The scope of services to be commissioned through this procurement has been developed by NHS England, (London) based on the national breast screening specification, and in consultation with providers, service users and Public Health England. The screening programme will operate within a three-year round plan.

Bidders should respond to this ITT opportunity by completing the online questionnaire published on the Contracting Authority’s e-procurement portal (the “Portal”) – ProContract (hosted by due north).
