Brief description:

We are looking for 1 x temporary agency Social Worker for the CSWT Rowley Regis area, for 3 months, 37 hours a week to cover permanent workers who are on sick leave, A/L, secondment, and also while we recruit to full time vacancies and are at full capacity. The location is Hybrid working between home and Sandwell Council House.

We require 1 x agency social worker who is experienced, with good social work skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in Sandwell.

You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS.

You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, Learning Disability, physical disability, complex needs, older people and their carer's.

You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, carrying out outcome focused assessments, with support planning, to meet their care and support needs.

You must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.

You will be given an induction, appropriate training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager.

You will be working in a friendly environment, skilled, diverse and supportive team.

This post requires an Adults Enhanced DBS and Social Work England Registration.

Candidates must hold a Social Work Degree, Diploma, CQSW or equivalent qualification.
