description
West Lancashire Borough Council would like to gauge your interest and objective feedback in the future operation of Beacon Park Golf Course, Dalton, Lancashire.
The Golf Course and clubhouse are currently managed by West Lancs Community Leisure Trust through an operating agreement with Serco Leisure Limited, this contract for services ended in 2020 however due to the COVID-19 pandemic the contract was extended on a temporary basis and is due to end in March 2023.
The Council commissioned specialist leisure consultants FMG Consulting in November 2021 to carry out a review and business case for the course, working closely with the Council, existing club members and staff. We have included their report as part of this soft market test exercise.
We intend to utilise all feedback received to help inform the future options for the golf course and the wider Beacon Country Park which is managed by the Council.
Thank you for your interest and involvement.
