description

Requirement of highly reliable and cost effective multi-functional devices (MFD's) solution to meet the office needs. The requirement includes the supply of new digital networked devices and related services to Ofwat's Birmingham and London offices including installation, commissioning, documentation, training, support and maintenance. To achieve network usage, the provision of supporting software products is also required. The solution is for standard office MFD's.

In order to achieve a seamless and successful transition the successful bidder will be required to work with the incumbent contractor.

The current lease for the provision of multi-functional devices ends on 23 October 2018 and includes a fleet of 8 colour enabled devices with speeds up to 55 ppm (colour). The lease also includes the provision of associated software to assist the management and effective use of the fleet. This software supports the following functions:

Full remote management of the devices over Ofwat's ICT network
Secure pull print for all users
Scanning to email/network
Transaction accounting software

In support of the above functions, Ofwat utilises a corporate access control card which is issued to all staff. The card is a Net 2 proximity ISO card, samples of which will be made available to ensure compatibility with devices.

Ofwat is seeking a reliable and cost effective solution that will be able to support and continue to expand the technical capabilities of the document reproduction requirements of its staff. The new Lease Agreement Period will commence on 24 October 2018 for a period of four (4) years, with the option of up to a further 12 months as required.
