description

The University has recently started work on a European project with 14 other partners to build and test a 10 ton per day intensified solvent based CO2 capture system that utilizes rotating packed bed(RPB) technology for the CO2 absorber and solvent regeneration unit operations. A major part of the University's role in this project is to do research and development work on the design of the rotating packed bed solvent regeneration unit with the emphasis on increasing the rate of heat transfer within this unit. The RPB used for solvent regeneration will integrate the functions of the packed column in a single unit, using condensing steam as a heating medium.

The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of the equipment detailed in the ITT to the University, with after-sales support and 12 months warranty and maintenance
