description
As a Council we are determined to support schools to improve outcomes for all pupils, and in particular our more vulnerable learners. Currently we perform well as Borough, but this masks variability between schools. We are seeking to undertake a diagnostic "deep dive" into the way all schools consider their approach to supporting all learners, and especially the inclusiveness of schools for their own pupils and those within the Borough more widely. The basic question is "are the right children receiving the right education in the right school". This investigation will consider the emerging patterns of inclusion across all schools, and conduct a range of engagement events with stakeholders to seek wider views on emerging themes and patterns. Following this engagement, we will invite schools to consider the findings of the work and consider how they can support the recommendations. Ultimately, the final report would want to support schools to be more inclusive of their communities, and work with each other to ensure that all schools share a common and moral purpose in educating all of our residents.
