Please do not complete the Invitation to tender (ITT) documentation: 'Lot 1 Cambridge' and 'Lot 2 Chelmsford'. You will be informed whether you have progressed to the ITT stage.

The tender has been split into 2 lots as follows:

Bidders are welcome to provide a submission for one or multiple lots; however no tenderer is permitted to win more than one of the two lots.

Tenderers must check that all the documents listed in the contents have been received and are complete in all respects.

8. April 2016 on Chelmsford Campus

Further information about site visits will be issued at the tender stage including exact time and location to meet on campus.

NPMA Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglia Ruskin University and is looking to appoint a contractor for the provision of Residential Summer Cleaning on its Cambridge and Chelmsford Campuses.

The contract will be for an initial 36 months with the option to extend for further two 12 months subject to performance.

The contract has been split into two lots:

Lot 1 Residential Summer Cleaning for Cambridge Campus Lot 2 Residential Summer Cleaning for Chelmsford Campus

No tenderer is permitted to win more than 1 of the 2 Lots advertised. If you are submitting to be considered for both Lots please place an ‘x’ in your preferred Lot to win.

If you are unsuccessful at the PQQ stage for your preferred choice and successful at PQQ for non-preferred Lot you will be invited to the ITT Stage for the non-preferred Lot.

If at the ITT Stage you could potentially win both Lots you will only be awarded the Lot indicated by your preference below. The Lot not indicated by your preference will be awarded to the second place tenderer.

The Residential areas consist of Halls of Residences as well as a few managed houses located in and around Cambridge.

The student accommodation at Chelmsford (known as the Student Village) consists of 510 single bedrooms, arranged into flats. Each flat contains either three, five or six bedrooms with shared communal kitchen and stairway/corridors and a guest toilet.

Cleaning will need to be conducted for a defined period during the summer months - usually 12-14 weeks between mid-June and mid/late-September in order to ensure the respective areas are ready for the new students intake.

There may also be a requirement to provide hotel style cleaning for any commercial summer business as well as ad-hoc cleaning for student rooms that are resident at different times to the standard above.

Due to the changing nature of the student population and requirements in the summer months, exact dates and details cannot be given.
