The Castle Mills Sluice is located on the River Foss, in the Foss Basin in York city centre. Optioneering took place earlier in 2023, to narrow down a preferred option to replace the original (no longer in-situ) eel pass. A preferred option has been selected as an outcome of this process and detailed design is required to enable its construction in summer 2024.
