description
Refurbishment of internal layout of existing 19th century school building as well as new external doors, windows repair of roof and demolition of annexe house.
New footpath and steps down to new entrance.
Birmingham City Council invites organisations to make an application to be considered for inclusion on a select list of tenderers for internal refurbishment and part external refurbishments of existing single storey building as part of a re-use of an existing education building.
The works are to be completed and invoiced in full before the 20th January 2017.
Brief Description of Works:
- Removal of selected internal finishes, walls, M&E items that are surplus to requirements or need replacing
- New internal doors external windows and doors
- New electrical lighting alarms including new access control system to be linked to existing
- New painted finishes to walls ceilings and carpets/ vinyl to selected floor areas.
- Stairs repaired
- New heating boilers
- Extract vents for WC's
- Demolition of disused house- including removal of asbestos
- New footpath and steps down with handrails
- General repairs to damaged ceilings and floors
- External bushes / hedges removed
- Roof repairs
The Council will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration and evaluation of this tender process, which along with the project scope and specification may also include requirements to provide the following for consideration:-
- Company Profile - Turnover, Organograms, Client Relationships, Sales Pipeline, Professional Body Registration / Memberships
- Trade and Bank references (where appropriate).
- Evidence of acceptable H&S and Quality Management Systems & Practices
- Evidence of insurances to support required levels of indemnity & liability
- Evidence of recent project history working on similar projects in similar environments with supporting case studies and method statements
