The DfT is seeking to appoint Consultants to develop a draft Appraisal of Sustainability (AoS) Scoping Report to inform future decisions on the delivery of aviation expansion. The draft scoping report will define the anticipated appraisal framework leading to a full AoS to support either a National Policy Statement (NPS) or Hybrid Bill (HB) route to securing development powers. Whether the Department proceeds to consulting on the draft scoping report is dependent on Ministers’ decisions following the election and receipt of the AC’s final report.
