Competitor marketing communications monitoring: Retail Finance Services Sector

National Savings and Investments (NS&I) requires a supplier to provide NS&I with an online cloud based service that monitors the marketing communications activity of NS&I's competitors in the retail financial services sector.

Background to the requirement:

Information gathering to understand NS&I's share of voice, relative to competitors, in order to ensure that our advertising is cutting through among our retail customers. This information informs our marketing strategy and planning for the year.

We track our share of voice and competitor activity by media channel on a monthly basis. This information informs our marketing strategy and planning for the year.

We are looking to award a new contract (up to 3 years) with a supplier that can provide a granular level of detail of our competitors' marketing activity; using an online system that we can easily and efficiently access direct.

Any eventual contract would be for a maximum duration of three years, renewable on an annual basis after the first year.

The NS&I Competitor Intelligence team is responsible for managing this requirement.

The Market & Competitor Intelligence Team at NS&I is comprised of 5 analyst and insight professionals. We work closely with the Marketing team and other comms teams within NS&I who utilise this data for their own planning across the year.

As part of the award we require limited account management support beyond some initial training on the system; a dedicated account management contact for any queries or ad hoc reporting; and a contact for technical support if required.

Our budget allocation for this service is approximately £60k over the 3 year term.
