Following Ely Museum being awarded a First Round Heritage Lottery Grant, the Museum are seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to provide cost management services covering the development of the Base Build Construction and Exhibition Fit-out Works to RIBA Stage 3 level of design development and work with the wider Team to submit a Second Round Heritage Lottery Fund Bid application. Subject to the scheme receiving a Heritage Lottery Fund Second Round award together with securing wider partnership funding and performance of the Consultant during the development stage, the Consultant shall be retained for the delivery stage.

In summary, the scheme includes the internal remodelling/ refurbishment of the Listed Old Gaol building together with the modification of the existing extension to form a two-storey structure that will incorporate a new passenger lift to provide access to the upper floor of the Old Goal. Within the remodelled Old Gaol, a separate Exhibition Fit-out contract will take place.
