The works comprise of the redecoration of the decorated external elements of the hotel facades, render and joinery repairs will be undertaken where required. The works are being instructed in order to return the external elements of the properties to a sound condition, to prevent degradation to the structure and components, preserving their listed status and to address damp ingress issues.

The Hotels are Grade 2 listed and it is of paramount importance to the Weymouth & Portland Borough Council that works are completed in accordance with best practice, to high quality and complementary to the hotels, ensuring the historic appearance is maintained. Correct preparation of elements and an appropriate selection of materials are essential for the works as results must have longevity, the contractor shall therefore comply with the workmanship standards and schedule of works described or referenced within the project specification.
