An integral part of the University's capital development process involves undertaking due diligence assessments of the impact of demolition and construction on the environment local to the site(s), particularly relating to the impact of noise, dust and vibration.

This procurement is for a single supplier, to act as a strategic partner contracted for the provision of all aspects of Noise, Dust and Vibration Consultancy Services including Demolition and Construction (Environmental Monitoring).

The specification of award criteria in the procurement documents states that only those tenders which have obtained a certain number of points in the previous stages will be evaluated in the subsequent stages of the open procedure. In order for a tenderer to be invited to the Interview Demonstration, their tender response must:

  • i)be evaluated as achieving a score of 6 or above for each and every Quality Element written question
  • ii)following evaluation of both the written quality and commercial elements, a tenderer must score within 30% of the highest scoring tenderer.

Tenderers who do not achieve either of i) or ii) above, will not be invited to the Interview Demonstration and their tender response will not be evaluated further.

The University is utilising an electronic Tendering tool ('In-Tend') to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to organisations and all communications with the University including the submission of Selection Stage and/or Invitation to Tender Stage Response(s) will be conducted via In-Tend at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofsouthampton.
