Fencing and Vegetation Services

In regard to Fencing and Vegetation generally there is an overall requirement for the provision of all the very necessary experienced labour, plant and equipment to deliver our lineside Vegetation Clearance and Maintenance Services, Fencing Installation and Maintenance requirements.

With consideration to Ecological and Environmental factors, Vegetation briefly comprises management, maintenance and clearance of lineside vegetation on our infrastructure and assets. Land topography may be challenging for example it may be steep, unsound ground, significantly overgrown with limited working space available on embankments, cuttings and adjacent land; on rare occasions there is close proximity to a live railway.

Network Rail are keen to understand new opportunities in its supply chain, you may be a supplier of Vegetation and/or Fencing Services that has never worked on the Rail Infrastructure previously and we would like to understand your capacity, capability and willingness to work with us.

As stated, this early engagement is not a Call for Competition, nor an appeal for an Expression of Interest. At time of writing, the purpose of this notice and questionnaire is solely to undertake early market engagement and does not formally begin the procurement or constitute any commitment by Network Rail to undertake any formal procurement exercise. Interested parties are invited to request a copy of the questionnaire by emailing susan.bulfield@networkrail.co.uk referencing 'Vegetation and Fencing Services", in addition, please include the name and address with postcode of your business and should you have additional offices please include all office/site addresses. We will then send you a Questionnaire for completion and return to susan.bulfield@networkrail.co.uk by 13:00hrs on 12/02/2020. Any submissions received shall be treated with the strictest confidence by the responsible officer and will not be shared with any Third Party.
