description
This tender is for the design, supply, and install of dust and fume extraction facilities to service the institutes materials processing facilities that will consist of, laboratory / pilot size ball mill, hammer mill jaw crusher and shredder. The unit sizes are typically 50-100 kg per hour and will process raw materials and recycled materials. These will be ores with metallic content or waste streams containing metallics.
To further ensure the requirements of such an installation, we ask that you specify procedures to ensure that the provision will comply with ALL relevant UK Standards, Codes of Practice, Industry Best Practice and all legislative drivers including the wide remit of Health and Safety requirements needed to deliver a fully compliant project, we ask that you advise us what standards and specifications are being worked to in order to achieve full compliance . Your demonstration of this will be a section that carries a score towards the final figure.
All and every service and utility needed to fully run the extraction facility will be identified within the bid, and typical floor space required for adequate installation provision etc, specifically relating to the exact requirements of elements such as, but definitely not limited to:
- Equipment electrical rating and loadings
- Compressed air requirements, pressures, volumes and condition (Pressure systems)
- Drainage and water supply provision
- Fresh air supply needs
- Every and all other required services should also be stated
- Installation footprint
- Weight of installation and if required, any possible point load issues
- I.T. requirements and connections
- Lead in times, install programme and commissioning schedule
We also expect a prepared methodology or statement to demonstrate how you will comply with all Health & Safety legislations and as you will be the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations, how you will fulfil the roles.
