The service will work in partnership with clinical teams. The main purpose of the service is to provide continuous ADHD prescribing services for Adult ADHD patients and related enquires raised by services, MPFT staff and pharmacies. All prescribing will follow MPFT formulary and national prescribing guidelines. The service is required to deliver: • Clinical check of the repeat monthly prescribing of ADHD medication in line with MPFT formulary • Apply dose optimisation doses where appropriate • Check monitoring is up to date • Re-authorising the repeat list, amending quantities and duration within MPFT prescribing formulary and repeat prescribing SOP • Conduct 6 monthly reviews and ensures physical health reviews are in place/scheduled in line with NICE guidelines for ADHD prescribing • Conduct 12 monthly CPA reviews in line with MPFT guidelines The ADHD prescribing service will support 325 services users covering a 52 week period. A majority of appointments will be conducted virtually but the provider should be prepared to offer face to face appointments in line with service users requirements. An assessment will be carried out by a MPFT clinical staff member before services users are allocated to the case load of the ADHD prescribing service. All service users will have ADHD medication initiated by MPFT.
