Penyard Castle lies deep within the Forestry Commission land at Weston under Penyard. It was constructed in the 1300s and by the late 17th Century had been abandoned. Little of the original structure survives, the most recognisable part lying in separate ownership, but the masonry was robbed and reused to construct a dwelling which itself is now ruinous.

Scope of Work:

The scope of works large relates to the dwelling and includes the structural stabilisation of masonry, masonry repair and consolidation. A detached remnant of the original structure will also be repaired and consolidated.
