description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS England & NHS Improvement North East & Yorkshire (the Contracting Authority) and NHS Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group (the Commissioner), who wish to commission an Alternative Provider Medical Service for patients registered at Ravenscar Surgery, located within Redcar Primary Care Hospital.

Patient list size, as at 01 April 2021 was 3831 raw / 4240.87 weighted.

Please note, this requirement is an emergency contract as a result of a contract hand back and the CCG are offering an interim contract to allow for further consideration of the future commissioning of services in line with patient need and relevant legislation.

The contract term is for 12 months with effect from 01 October 2021 with an estimated contract value of £494,454, in addition to pass-through costs of £178,356 (including rent and rates costs). Additional monies up to the value of £187,000 will also be made available to the successful provider to support mobilisation of the service as well as furniture and equipment costs.

It is anticipated that TUPE may apply to this contract, however, potential providers are to note that any redundancy costs that may be incurred at the end of the 12-month contract period will not be the responsibility of the provider.

Premises will be mandated for the delivery of services and providers are to note that there will be no liability for lease costs at the end of the 12 month contract term.
