In response to a review of the local substance misuse treatment system, Waltham Forest is commissioning a newly, integrated, both drug and alcohol treatment and recovery service, which incorporates and builds upon the functions provided currently within the system.
Through this process, the treatment system will:
be recovery focussed
address public health issues such as Blood Borne Viruses streamline the assessment and case management processes collate and manage data consistently
provide integrated services for both drug and alcohol users integrate criminal justice services within the wider treatment system prepare for new emerging drug trends / groups
