Trade Tariff

The contract requirement is to design, develop, finance, implement and market coherent integrated tariff information. This service is to be provided to both HMRC and subscribers of these Tariff products.

HMRC require the supply of specialist cloud services in order to maintain and continually develop the UK Trade Tariff. The Tariff allows trade to look online for the commodity code of the goods they import and export. It is based on the EUs TARIC database and includes UK specific national measures. Duty rates and other Customs measures are frequently changed or updated. The UK trade tariff needs to provide the most accurate information at any given time receiving daily updates from TARIC.

The supplier needs to support and communicate continuously with GDS and the Government PAAS team to ensure the platform on G cloud 11 Foundry is maintained with service availability at 99.95%.

Analysis of data and customer feedback is imperative to ensure customer satisfaction.

Continual support to HMRC during the migration to CDS supporting trade testing as required.

The daily import of EU and national data will need to be converted to a TARIC format and implemented into the trade tariff database.

The supplier must meet the security accreditations and standards for the GDS/GOV PAAS requirements. The supplier will also need to comply with ISO 27001 standards.
