description

The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery and installation of state-of-the-art Robotic Liquid Handling Systems for Crystallisation detailed in Section 3.1 Technical Specification to the University, with after-sales support and a minimum of 12 months warranty on supplied systems, all training necessary for safe and reliable operation of the system and a complete set of operating and maintenance documents.

Due to the award of EPSRC funding to enable an out station of the National Crystallography Service to operate at Newcastle University and internal investment to update the facilities for the Faculty of Science Agriculture and Engineering, Newcastle University are looking to purchase new instrumentation for the Crystallography Suite located in the Bedson building. We require state of the art instrumentation to enable single crystal diffraction data collections on samples of small crystal size to provide molecular connectivity confirmation along with absolute stereochemistry resolution. The results are required to conform to the highest levels of interrogation to support the scientific programmes of Newcastle and the wider UK research arena, focussing on Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Biology. The instrumentation is also required to underpin industrial collaborations and commercial enterprise.
