PS23324 - AI Assurance Taxonomies - Industry Survey and Sectoral Deepdives

This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the CCS RM6126 Research & Insights DPS.

Brief Description of Requirement

This piece of work falls into our AI Assurance Programme, which aims to develop a globally leading UK AI assurance ecosystem, in order to drive uptake of responsible and safe AI. AI assurance is set to play a critical role in enabling the responsible adoption of AI and supporting the UK governments' proposed regulatory framework, and was referenced in the UK's AI regulation white paper (there as "tools for trustworthy AI, underlining the current issues around terminology).

We have engaged with industry previously through roundtables, interviews and a small-scale survey, which we thematically analysed and led to the publication of our industry temperature check at the end of 2022. However, much of the evidence was anecdotal from a small number of stakeholders, and so we are looking to run more comprehensive research through this requirement.
