TEC Partnership - Replacement of B Block Roof Rev 1 - AWARD

The project comprises of replacing the roof covering on our B Block building. This will require removing the existing roof and insulation before replacing. There are some structural repairs required to the parapet walling that will need to be conducted during this process. The details of this can be seen in document Rde6334.

In accordance with the Rde6334 recommendation, masonry repair is also required on the tower block, as seen in image 1.

It is proposed that the parapet walling is reduced to the height required to provide the adequate uplift for the replacing roofing, so a replacement capping system can be installed.

Enabling works for one section of roofing, will require the removal of an existing timber structure (image 2).

The proposed roofs are to be Sika liquid plastic and installed to accompanying specification (alternative products will be considered).

The final stage of the project will be installing edge protection (image 3)

Document 03 phase drawing is color coded into four sections. Section 1 (yellow) is the main focus of the works and the other elements will be decided on based on the overall project cost. Please ensure that your tender break down clearly states these itemised components.
