description

We have appointed a supplier to undertake research to help demonstrate and articulate the economic contribution of the arts and culture sector to the national economy. This will provide an updated picture of the sector's contribution to the economy, following on from three previous studies conducted by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), the most recent of which was published in November 2017.

This was first commissioned in 2012 as part of a suite of research aiming to further develop our understanding of how the arts, museums and libraries sectors contribute to the economy, in order to support the sector to continue to improve their contribution to the nation's economic prosperity. It was also important to consider how this contribution could be appropriately evidenced.
