**UPDATED**

Please note the event will take place on:

Monday 19th September between 2pm and 5pm at The Old Town Hall, 29 Broadway, Stratford, London. E15 4BQ

You are invited to the 2nd workshop of the North East London Urgent and Emergency Care Network.

The outputs from the 1st workshop, which was held on 16th May, helped to shape the urgent and emergency care component of the 5 year sustainable transformation plan, which as a draft was submitted to NHS England at the end of June.

The focus of the 2nd workshop for September will be on integrated urgent care.

One of the key themes within each of our urgent care transformational plans and within the network sustainable transformation plan is how we proactively manage demand to ensure that people receive the right care, in the right place, first time and maintain high quality care. Integrated Urgent Care (111) is a key part of this plan. We will explore how this will work at a borough, system resilience group and a network level at the meeting.

We will also be updating you with the latest developments of the North East London Sustainable Transformational Plan and sharing with you the modelling that will have been carried out to further inform our thinking about how we integrate our urgent care system.

We will be asking for your views on;

  • what services could be provided at a wider area or Network level
  • how we improve integration in services that we provide at a local level, for example extended primary care, pharmacies, ambulance, mental health, rapid response, end of life care, urgent care centres, so that we have a 24 hour local area urgent care response which will mean that more people will be seen and treated away from the ED setting as appropriate
  • how we best utilise our workforce so that services work in a way that are integrated, and helps to mitigate the workforce challenges that we face but also continues to provide high quality care to the public.

The workshop gives us all a fantastic opportunity to work together, to share and build on the really good work that has already taken place within our network, and to ensure that our urgent care system becomes truly integrated with 111.

We would like to invite 3 participants (including clinicians and managers) from your organisation, and would be grateful if you could please email your nominations to natalia.proctor@nhs.net by 12.00 midday Wed 14th September 2016 at the latest.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to the event.
