The purchaser is inviting tenders on the terms set out in this ITT for the provision of a general (residual) and recyclate waste disposal service at Lancaster University.

This tender is split into two lots: Lot 1 - General (Residual) Waste and Lot 2 - Recyclate Waste.

Lot 1 - Residual Waste:

The purchaser is seeking to procure the services of a waste contractor to collect, transfer and treat/recover/recycle and dispose of general (residual) waste across Lancaster University's main campus at Bailrigg and its Lancaster city centre residences at Chancellors Wharf, Aldcliffe Road and its adjacent sites at Forrest Hills and Health Innovation Campus (HIC). The annual quantity of general (residual) waste generated by the University in recent years is as follows:

17/18 - 1253 tonnes

18/19 - 1366 tonnes

19/20 - 1014 tonnes*

*Reduced generation due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Lot 2 - Recyclate Waste:

The purchaser is seeking to procure the services of a waste contractor to collect, transfer and recycle segregated recyclates at Lancaster University's main campus at Bailrigg and its Lancaster city centre residences at Chancellors Wharf, Aldcliffe Road and its sites at Forrest Hills and HIC. The annual quantity of total segregated recyclates generated by the University in recent years is as follows:

17/18 - 328 tonnes

18/19 - 308 tonnes

19/20 - 238 tonnes*

*Reduced generation due to COVID-19 Pandemic

The contract is for an initial 2 years, with two further 1 year extensions available, subject to satisfactory performance.

Site visits are to be held 6th and 8th October - please let us know if you will be attending through the In-Tend correspondence function. More information regarding site visits (etc) can be found in the ITT document.
