Cornwall Transformation Challenge Award (TCA) Service Design and Transformation Support

Cornwall’s TCA project is funded by the government’s Transformation Challenge Fund. It supports both the Council’s and NHS Kernow strategic direction of travel. The Steering Group overseeing this programme includes the signatories to our bid (Cornwall Council, Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Rural Community Charity, Voluntary Sector Forum and Penwith Community Development Trust), NHS Kernow and an elected representative of the wider Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.

We wish to engage an organisation with service design expertise to help the TCA team work collaboratively with people in Cornwall, providers of services and commissioners to improve the quality and sustainability of services.

Work may include:

• observing and researching the experience of people who use our services;
• understanding services, using techniques such as mapping people’s journey through services;
• prototyping and testing proposed new service(s);
• helping users, staff and other stakeholders to make changes;
• Other follow up work connected to service design that may arise from the above.

It is possible that parts of the Council may seek to utilise this expertise through this contract.
