The aim of the Oral Health Promotion Service is to prevent or slow the progression of dental decay and oral disease, and reduce oral health inequalities in children and young people, and adults who are at increased risk of poor oral health in Somerset. It aims to achieve this through:

?Improving oral hygiene;
?Increasing access to dental services;
?Promoting healthy diet and reducing the consumption of sugary food and drink, alcohol and tobacco;
?Addressing inequalities in oral health.
