Dirty Water Management - West Coombeshead Farm

Cornwall College Further Education Corporation (herein after referred to as the College) wish to invite you (the potential supplier) to provide a Tender Submission for the requirement detailed

These works are to be completed to eliminate dirty water run off prior to a separate contract for demolition and earth moving which will remove the redundant slatted shed and slurry lagoon at the lower farm returning them to green space utilising surplus excavated material currently stockpiled on site.

The works comprise:

Lot 1

• oAdditional drainage measures within the upper yard of the original farm to intercept dirty water flows from animal housing.
• oConstruction of watertight bund around Farm Yard Manure store
• oIntroduction of kerbs to assist in segregation of straw from slurry.
• oDiversion and management of roof water to reduce volumes reaching attenuation pond.
• oGeneral improvements to guarding and access after demolition works and earth moving.

Lot 2

• oSupply and installation of an above ground storage tank for slurry.

Lot 3

• oSupply and installation of a steel framed building to cover the farm yard manure store.
