QU07 - Provision of strategic advice regarding land holdings at Bromsgrove to Birmingham City Council - AWARD

Birmingham Property Services is seeking a suitably qualified organisation to provide strategic advice regarding land holdings in Bromsgrove.

Bromsgrove DC is likely to begin a Green Belt review shortly. The City Council has significant land interests within Bromsgrove which could be brought forward for development if the land is released as part of the next review of the Bromsgrove Local Plan. The City Council has the opportunity to influence the Green Belt review by developing a strong case for the release of sites which includes land in the City’s ownership. The Council as landowner is seeking an organisation to assess its land interests in the context of the 5 purposes of Green Belt and then develop and implement a planning strategy for those of its land interests that are deemed to have merit in this context.

The contract is due to commence on Monday 7 December and run until 7 June 2016. Award will be based on the evaluation criteria stated in the quotation pack.
