description
Evaluation of the social, economic and cultural ecosystem service impacts of the Cumbria Bog LIFE+ Project
In 2016, the Project that is the subject of this Request for Quotation will design a method and materials for use in evaluating the socio-economic impact of the Cumbria Bogs LIFE+ project on the local economy and population and its impact on cultural ecosystem services. The Authority also invites tenderers to quote separately for the option of undertaking specific data collection and collation in 2016/2017 (employing surveys of samples of Site Visitors, the Local Population and Local Businesses). When awarding the Contract, the Authority will advise the Appointed Contractor whether the Contract includes these optional surveys. If the Contract does not include them, the work will be carried out by Natural England’s LIFE+ project team, which will also undertake the other data collection and collation required for the evaluation. The data collected in 2016/17 will provide a baseline that describes the situation prior to implementation of the LIFE+ project (hereafter described as ‘Baseline Data’).
