description

Alternative Thermal Treatment Plant (Pyrolysis and Gasification) have multiple permitting routes under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 depending on the composition and waste classification of the syngas. We wish to appoint a consultant to identify a process and supporting evidence that enables the assessment of whether a process should be permitted under Chapter IV IED as an incineration process, based on a technical understanding of syngas composition at the point of combustion. The consultant will be able to deliver a methodology that supports applications and permitting decsions across the wide variance of thermal treatment processes as well as produce technical literature that can lead to the future development of BAT for these processes.
