Cycling Facilities in Parks and Open Spaces in the London Borough of Hounslow

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking the services of a Cycling infrastructure supplier to supply, transport, and install cycle repair stations at 16 different locations across the borough These facilities will provide the ability for residents to pump up tyres and perform basic repairs in a safe and controlled manner at select sites across the borough

Technical Requirements

The applicant must provide:

• An item of furniture capable of holding or retaining a push bicycle.
• An item of furniture capable of inflating the tyres of any mobility medium using Presta and Schrader valves (up to at least 8 bar)
• The required tools for performing basic cycle maintenance which should be attached to the item, examples include; Allen keys (hex) 3 through 8mm, spanners 8mm through 15mm or two adjustable spanners
• Installation and carriage of the aforementioned item.
• Maintenance of at least one year of the aforementioned item.
• Removal of any arisings of installation of the item
• A ground CAT scan of each installation site to ensure safe installation especially in regard to utilities.
• Quality Assurance and Quality Management methods that will ensure compliance with all regulations relating to public furniture, especially on Highways.
