Concession Opportunity - Catering Concessions at Cultural Events in Portsmouth, 2019

Portsmouth City Council is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for these opportunities.

The scope of which will comprise of but may not be limited to providing food and drink catering units and stands for three events during 2019. The events on offer are:

Lot 1 - Lord Mayors Rural and Seaside Show, 4th - 6th May 2019 Lot 2 - Portsmouth International Kite Festival, 10th - 11th August 2019 Lot 3 - Great South Run, 19th -20th October 2019

Providers can apply to trade at as many events as they wish, however providers must be able to commit to trading at all events applied for, should they be successful.

The Council is seeking to appoint a number of different providers for each event, ranging from a minimum of 5-6 to a maximum of 10-14 stands. A variety of different food and drink proposals will be accepted and offers that reflect the nature of the specific event applied for are invited. Please note, offers including the sale of alcohol will not be permitted.

Operators will be expected to provide their own stand/unit and be responsible for their pitch and the immediate surrounding area and ensure the pitch is kept tidy and rubbish free. Providers must supply their own electricity and cover all costs associated with running the stand.

Operators will be required to pay an income to the Council in order to trade at an event.

The Council is unable to provide exclusivity of product and it should be noted that there may be more than one provider selling the same product at any of the events.

Interested providers should express interest in order to proceed to the application form.

The contract will be in relation to the event dates only and will take the form of a service concession contract.
