Sponsorship Monies for Cycling Events, including the Isle of Wight stage of the Tour of Britain to be held in September 2022.

The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Quotes from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of sourcing sponsorship monies for cycling events, including the Isle of Wight stage of the Tour of Britain to be held in September 2022.

The Authority has secured the rights to the final stage of the 2022 Tour of Britain which will take place in September 2022 (date to be confirmed).

The cost for the rights is £250,000 and the Authority will have additional costs of £90,000 to host the event, a total of £340,000. It hopes to recover this sum through sponsorship revenue.

The Authority is therefore seeking an experienced fundraiser to secure sponsorship on a commission only basis. The council does not intend to pay any retainer or fixed fee.

The term of the contract shall be 25 October 2021 until 24 October 2022 with the option to extend for a period of up to 2 years at the sole discretion of the Authority. During this term the Authority can call off from the appointed Supplier sourcing of sponsorship services for events. Under this procurement process the Authority is looking to specifically instruct the sourcing of sponsorship monies for the final stage of the Tour of Britain in 2022 which will be held on the Isle of Wight. Whilst the agreement will be available until 24 October 2024 for further commissions, the Authority makes no guarantee that any future work will be instructed under this contract. The term for the final stage of the Tour of Britain commission shall be 24 October 2021 until 23 October 2022.
