description

Portsmouth City Council, 'the Authority', is inviting tenders from suitably experienced suppliers for inclusion on a multiple-lot framework agreement for the delivery of minor coastal engineering works across a number of authorities along the south coast of England.

This will be a broad discipline, multi-supplier framework established across three Lots to meet the likely requirement for the majority of coastal maintenance and low value, non-complex civils works. The three Lots are:

  1. Lot 1 - Minor Coastal Maintenance (typically less than ?20k)
  2. Lot 2 - General Coastal Works (typically ?20k - ?150k)
  3. Lot 3 - Beach Management (typically ?40k - ?300k)

Suppliers can bid for one, two or all three of the Lots in any combination but must bid for all mini-bids within the Lots applying for.

The Authority is undertaking this procurement on behalf of the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP), which is a shared service team between Portsmouth City Council, Havant Borough Council, Gosport and Fareham Borough Council. In addition to this a further 23 contracting authorities have been identified the ITT that will be able to access the framework agreement once operational.

The framework agreement will be available for the contracting authorities identified above to let call off contracts for 4 years.

The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contract by mid-July 2017 with a subsequent commencement date late July 2017.

A bidders briefing session will be held on Thursday 11th May at 2:30pm at the Civic Offices, Portsmouth, PO1 2NE. The session will give an overview of the procurement strategy being adopted for this framework and give the opportunity for suppliers to ask questions. Bidders wishing to attend this briefing should register their interest via InTend correspondence by 5pm Tuesday 9th May detailing who will be attending.

The closing date for receipt of your expression of interest is given against the heading entitled - Date documents can be requested until.
